tiny tutorial time Whitmore all right so someone in chat asked me if I could get some tips on how I think about my shading so the shortest thing I can say about it is think as everything is very generic shapes so if we take this helmet here for this for an example right and we take this little cap part here on the top bit I can see that that is obviously like a like a little flat blog on the top and if I wanted to shade this flat blog I would basically say oh well the lighting is coming from the front so this part here is getting like this part here is getting hit by light and this part here is hit by shadow so if I think about that I basically translate that into the more complex complex object so essentially what Im trying to do is take an object and try and break it into the most simple shape I can in my mind you can do this you can draw it if you want to but the practice is ready to do this in your head but maybe doing it like this might help you out first to to help you see wher
