hi gangs got to have import here todays video Ill show you how to add a solid background to something youve masked in photo raw at this question from Bob he had done some intricate masking on a flower I wanted to throw a black background behind this like Im missing something where do I find this in older versions of photo we had a thing called color fill layers those arent part of the the layer stack anymore but we can do the same thing using a local adjustment and painting with color let me show you how that works so I have a hastily done some masking on this the set of palm trees just removing all the background see Ive done that in the layers panel right here and now I want to throw some sort of being a colored background behind it so how would I go about doing that first thing is I need to add another layer and its gonna tell me you know create this new layered photo thats all wonderful it doesnt matter what photo you add Im gonna go ahead and add the same photo I added
