A settlement letter is a written offer from a creditor to settle a debt, and serves as legal documentation of this arrangement. A settlement letter is a legally binding agreement on both you and the creditor, and technically replaces your original contract with them.
What is a settlement agreement? A settlement agreement is a legally binding contract between two or more parties, used to resolve a dispute outside of court.
In my experience it is generally not a good idea to reject the offer of a settlement agreement without even trying to try and obtain better terms first unless you make a counter-offer you wont know whether what you want to achieve is obtainable.
An example of a settlement can be a town, city, village, outpost, or metropolis. These settlements are usually located near natural resources or close together for security.
The very heart of a request for a Settlement Agreement is a negotiation. You and your employer should be able to be full and frank in those negotiations, without the fear that a concession you make in discussions or correspondence could affect you later if no deal can be agreed and litigation becomes necessary.
A Settlement Agreement (formerly known as a Compromise Agreement) is a legally binding agreement between you and your employer. This usually provides for a severance payment by the employer in return for your agreement not to pursue any claims in a Tribunal or a Court.
The law doesnt require either party to be responsible for drafting a settlement agreement. You can choose to draft it yourself and offer it to them if you want to settle or they will offer you one if they want to settle.
Consideration: Something of value (either a promise, an act or an object) that a promisor receives from a promisee in return for his promise. Statute of Frauds: Basis of most modern laws requiring that certain promises must be in writing in order to be enforceable; it was passed by the English Parliament in 1677.
