When you can see the spaces and paragraph marks and tabs, sometimes that can help you to find the problem in the document, such as a hidden table or a long string of spaces. Unfortunately this is one of the few Word features that is not natively included in Google Docs.
Click the small i symbol in the top left of your main Google toolbar, then click on any file or folder to bring up its metadata. Within this panel, you can enter your metadata tags into the Add a description field.
Right click (secondary context click) on a file, and choose Labels and then Apply a label from the menu. Use the dialog to choose a label, and field values to apply to the file.

At this time, the ability to see hidden characters and formatting marks isnt built into Docs. However, theres an add-on for Docs called Show that can do this. You can get it by going to Add-ons (in the tool bar) Get add-ons and then searching for it by name.
Open a new or previously saved Google document. Type @, then start typing the name or email address of the person you want to tag. Click on the name of the person you want to tag. To share the Google Doc with the tagged individual (if they dont already have access), click the Share button in the popup prompt.
Heres how. Put your cursor at the start of the paragraph that you want to link to. Head to the Insert menu at the top of the page, and choose Bookmark. You will see that a ribbon gets inserted into the document where your cursor was previously.
