When in a mobile browser (Chrome + Safari) the address bar is visible, the bottom of the screen gets cut off since mobile browsers incorrectly set 100vh to be the height of the screen without the address bar showing. A Better Solution: use height 100% instead of 100vh.
This will default to 100vh, which means it occupies the entirety of the viewport (the height of your browser). This allows you to design landing pages with consistent browsing experiences: you can ensure that the same content (within a single section) is visible on all devices.
For example, height: 100%; applied to an element is relative to the size of its parent. In contrast, height: 100vh will be 100% of the viewport height regardless of where the element resides in the DOM.
The vh values stand for viewport height. Here is the main difference: height: 100vh means 100% of the viewport height, height: 100% means 100% of the parents element height.
The full form of VH is viewport height. It works like the percentage unit as well. Specifying 10vh is equivalent to occupying 10% of entire visible screen height. If you look carefully, you can see that 50vh means 50%, which will cover half of the entire screen height.
For example, height: 100%; applied to an element is relative to the size of its parent. In contrast, height: 100vh will be 100% of the viewport height regardless of where the element resides in the DOM.
100VH would represent 100% of the viewports height, or the full height of the screen. And of course, VW stands for viewport width, which is the viewable screens width. 100VW would represent 100% of the viewports width, or the full width of the screen.
When in a mobile browser (Chrome + Safari) the address bar is visible, the bottom of the screen gets cut off since mobile browsers incorrectly set 100vh to be the height of the screen without the address bar showing. A Better Solution: use height 100% instead of 100vh.
In CSS, vh stands for viewport height and vw for viewport width. As you can see, the first unit is based on the viewport height, and 1vh is equivalent to 1% of the viewport height. vw works the same, but for viewport width. So, 1vw equals 1% of the viewport width.
In Table Tools click the [Layout] tab locate the Cell Size group and choose from of the following options: To fit the columns to the text (or page margins if cells are empty), click [AutoFit] select AutoFit Contents. To fit the table to the text, click [AutoFit] select AutoFit Window.
