A quotation is a document that a seller provides to a buyer to offer goods or services at a stated price, under specified conditions. Also known as quotes, sales quotes or sales quotations, quotations are used to let a potential buyer know how much goods or services will cost before they commit to the purchase.
Discussion MySQL and PostgreSQL place a backslash before the quote, like so: INSERT INTO customer (id, customername) VALUES (502, Lay\s ); Oracle uses literal quoting putting the letter q in front, followed by single quotes enclosing square brackets: INSERT INTO customer (id, customername)
If it is passed to echo, it prints the following: A B C . In each \ the first quote closes the current single-quoted string, the following \ glues a single quote to the previous string ( \ is a way to specify a single quote without starting a quoted string), and the last quote opens another single-quoted string.
