hello everyone this is bobak naomi im working in bio joe climate modeling lab in the university of helsinki as part of e m 20 20 im going to talk about sdm that is an r package for species distribution modeling this package was published as a software note in the journal of echography by me and miguel araujo as a cover paper im still working actively to develop the package and including new functionalities so i will talk about the details in the next slides in general you know that the procedure of developing a species distribution model starts with data we would have species observation and also environmental variables and then we explore a statistical relationship between the response variable and the predictor variables to come up with a model a predictive model we then use this model to generate the probability of occurrence it predicts these values in a space or time in this box actually we would have different approaches to explore this statistical relationship so all of thes
