alright so in this video were going to use iterative calculations in our advantage to be able to add a timestamp and to also add a counter so first of all let me explain you what iterative calculation is to begin with so iterative calculation is a calculation when you do a formula which has a reference that depends on the total of the same formula cell so a basic example of this would be if I try to take this right now if i look im in b2 cell and I say b2 + 5 now Im trying to add 5 to the cell that Im currently in so if I hit enter right now see I get this reference error so if I check this it says circular dependency detected and in Excel you will get like circular reference error or something like that so by default youre not allowed to do this youre not allowed to use the cell that youre in to do this calculation because youre ending up in this loop so if were adding 5 to the cell that were in and the cell is 0 if we add 5 now its 5 now we add 5 to that 5 and 5 to that 5
