Stop prompt to save a file when printing - Windows Click File Print. The steps for printing may vary depending on the application youre using. Uncheck Print to file. Click Print or OK, depending on your application. Your document should now print properly.
This issue could occur if the drivers are not installed properly or the correct printer is not selected as default. Hence, I suggest that you check in the printers folder if the working printer is selected as default and also if the printer is powered on.

In the dropdown menu, you will see an option that says Print to File. If that option has a checkmark next to it, uncheck it by clicking on it.

Right-click the Start or Windows button. Select the Control Panel. Select the Devices and Printers. Right-click on Microsoft XPS Document Writer and select Set as Default Printer.
Microsoft XPS Document Writer comes pre-installed on Windows 10 and Windows 11, just press Ctrl + P to print/save an XPS file.
