okay this is Jason Johnson instructional designer here at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work and I just wanted to do a quick little tutorial here just to talk about how to do attendance in canvas now I know many of you have you hybrid classes or youre basically just using canvas as a shell for your assignments and maybe your grades and attendance and so I wanted to show how that works because its not always straightforward heres the part thats just a little tricky so Ive got my test canvas shell up here and if you look at the assignment group you dont see in attendance now what happens in canvas is that it will make an attendance assignment for you as soon as you do the first action in attendance so attendance tab should be on the left there if its not there on the left you can go under settings navigation sometimes it might be at the bottom might look something like this and you just need to click and drag it up to the top as students will not see the attendance
