Text formatting functions can be used to change the color, font, size, and style of the specified text. For example, you could use the TextFont function to change the font of the specified text from Arial to Courier. You can use these functions together to change the appearance of text on your layouts.
Format text Select the text you want to format. To select a single word, double-click it. To select a line of text, click to the left of it. Select an option to change the font, font size, font color, or make the text bold, italic, or underline.
Type the text you want AutoComplete to insert. Highlight the text. Click Insert in the Word menu bar. Click OK to add the text. Check the box labeled Show AutoComplete Suggestions. Click OK. Type Iron anywhere in your document. Press Enter to insert Ironfoundersson Inc. into your Word document.
Turn AutoCorrect on or off in Word Go to File Options Proofing and select AutoCorrect Options. On the AutoCorrect tab, select or clear Replace text as you type.
On the Home tab, right-click any style in the Styles gallery and click Modify. In the Formatting section, make any formatting changes you want, such as font style, size, or color, alignment, line spacing, or indentation. Choose whether the style change applies to the current document or to all future documents.
How to Open the Reveal Formatting Pane in Word. To open the Reveal Formatting pane in Word, first select the text for which to see the formatting. Then open the Styles pane. To open the Styles pane in Word, click the Home tab in the Ribbon.
Click the AutoCorrect Options button. In the AutoCorrect window, click the AutoCorrect tab if not already selected. Check or uncheck the box for the Replace text as you type option, to enable or disable AutoText.
Find and Replace Text Formatting Click the Replace button on the Home tab. Click More to expand the dialog box. Click the Format button. Select the type of formatting you want to replace. Specify the formatting you want to replace and click OK. Click in the Replace With field. Click the Format button again.
