How To Black Out Text in PDF Files Open our online PDF editor. Click and drag a PDF into the toolbox. Click on the square symbol and select Rectangle. Ensure the color is set to black, and resize it to cover text. Hit Finish and save the document.
Redact text and images from a PDF. Launch Acrobat and select Tools Redact. Choose Select A File and locate your PDF. Select the Mark For Redaction tool. Once youve marked up all the redactions, select Apply. Save your PDF as a separate file.
Add headers and footers, with an open document Open the PDF file to which you want to add the header and footer. Choose Tools Edit PDF. In the secondary toolbar, choose Header Footer Add. As needed, specify the Font and Margin values. Type the text in any of the header and footer text boxes.
Click on the Protect tab and select Mark for Redaction. Then go to the page where you want to hide text and select the text. You can also use the Search Redact option to search for a particular word and hide it on all pages at once.
When a PDF is opened in the Acrobat Reader (not in a browser), the search window pane may or may not be displayed. To display the search/find window pane, use Ctrl+F.
Click Edit Redact in PDF Expert. Select Find and Redact on the sidebar. Type the word or number you want to hide. Click Blackout All or Erase All.
Open your PDF in Acrobat. Click and drag the cursor to select the area of text you want to highlight. A small toolbox will appear above your text. Select the highlighter tool icon and it will automatically highlight your selected text.
How to black out text in a PDF file. Open your PDF in docHubs Acrobat online services. Select Tools, then Redact. Select text. Either double-click to select the text or drag to select lines of text. Apply redaction. Once youve selected the text you want to remove, click Save to apply the changes and save the document.
