To manually assign participants to breakout rooms, select the Manually radio button and click Create Rooms. The Breakout Rooms dialog box will appear, and we can assign students to a breakout room by clicking Assign to the right of the breakout rooms name.
After you create breakout rooms, click the Options button to view more options. Enable the setting Auto close breakout rooms after ( ) minutes. Select a time and establish your limit. You can also choose Set countdown timer to display a countdown for participants.
If you enabled the countdown timer, all participants will see the timer at the top of their screens when you close the breakout rooms. Once closed, all participants will return to the main Zoom session.
It is currently only possible to record in breakout rooms with local recording. The host must allow specific participants to record locally and it will only record the room the participant who is recording is in. Multiple participants can be given permission to record locally. You can create up to 50 breakout rooms.
Students and teachers can record Breakout Rooms just like they can in a regular Teams meeting. More options . 3. Open the menu and select Start recording.
