in this unit were gonna start using the program Excel now this should be already on your computer its a green icon with a white X excl you can search for it and its a spreadsheet program what it does is it allows you to work with a bunch of numbers without having to do a ton of work your first challenge is taking big lists of numbers and making them into a stem-and-leaf plot heres two lists of numbers I have a list in column a I have a list in column B now if I made a stem-and-leaf plot for a I could look through my entire list and find my lowest number oh its a 1 so that means I need a stem of 0 ok I could look through my list whats my highest number 65 so I need to get it stems up through 6 or I can put my list in order and its a lot easier to read down through my list so heres how you put a list in order I want list a in order so Im going to click on any of the numbers it does not matter go up to the ribbons home insert page layout formulas data and data is the one we want
