Welcome to ScheduleAnywhere! This video will show you how to set up shifts, shift tags and explanations. Before shifts, shift tags and explanations can be assigned to employees on the schedule, they must first be defined. If you need to modify a shifts start or end time, you can do this after the shift has been assigned to an employee. Shifts are schedule-specific and defined by going to Set UpShifts and clicking the Add New Shift button. Each shift must have a Name (pause), Abbreviation (pause) and a Start and End Time. Shift names and abbreviations must be unique to each schedule. The shift name can be anything youd like, such as a shifts start and end time, a description like day/evening/night, or something generic like shift 1/shift 2/shift 3. Regardless of the terminology you use, make sure your employees know what the shift means. In this example, the shift will be named Day and the abbreviation will be D. Schedule owners are team members in Teams who can manage schedules in Shifts for their team. You can elevate the permissions of a team member to a schedule owner role in Shifts so they can create schedules and manage shift requests without making that person a team owner.
Add people to the schedule Type their name or email and select them in the list. Select Add. Continue adding people if needed, and then select Close when youre done.
How to create an employee work schedule Think about your scheduling needs ahead of time. Evaluate your staffing levels and availability. Create a list of employees who want extra shifts. Follow local rules and regulations. Publish your schedule early. Communicate your employee scheduling rationale effectively.
Sign in to Microsoft Teams, and on the app launcher, click More apps Shifts. In the Create a team schedule box, select the team you want to create the schedule for, and then choose Create. Confirm the time zone you want to use for the schedule. Add people to your schedule.
