Say youre in Pages and you want to have a simple list of things and you want to align things up. Like, for instance, here I may want to have an event, have it shown like this here, and then on the next line I may want to also have it around the same point and Ill continue to add events for each day of this week. Select a word: Double-click the word. Select a paragraph: Triple-click in the paragraph. Select a range of text: Click in front of the first character, then hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and click at the end of the text you want to select.

Show or hide tab marks in Word Go to File Options Display. Under Always show these formatting marks on the screen, select the check box for each formatting mark that you always want to display regardless if the Show/Hide. button is turned on or off. Change text using the Format controls Apply a different paragraph style: Tap the style name below Paragraph Style, then tap a new paragraph style (scroll to see more). Change the font: Tap Font, then tap a new font. Apply bold, italic, underline, or strikethrough: Tap any of the buttons below Font. Change the size: Tap.
Highlight text Press Shift-Command-H on the keyboard. Choose Insert Highlight from the Insert menu at the top of your screen. (The Insert button on the Pages toolbar doesnt have the Highlight command.) Click Highlight in the review toolbar at the top of the document.
To select non-contiguous text: Press-and-drag to select a section of text. Hold down the Command key. Press-and-drag to select some other text that is not contiguous!
Highlight text Select the text that you want to highlight. On the Home tab, select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color . Choose a color. The text you selected will be highlighted in the color you chose.
You can fix formatting by copying the formatting from one paragraph to others. Select a paragraph that uses the formatting you want. Choose Format Copy Style (from the Format menu at the top of your screen, not the Pages toolbar). Select some text in the paragraphs you want to fix, then choose Format Paste Style.
