hey its jeremy here and in this video i want to show you how i redesigned this logo for this conference and how i improved it [Music] so as you know i work on brand identity projects and logo designs and for this i had a friend who was running a conference he asked me to speak at it and i actually got the opportunity in 2020 to actually redesign the logo yes it was a pro bono project it was for free and because i was speaking at the event i wanted to help them out so lets jump into illustrator you can see this was a logo obviously this is not the original but it actually was the logo for the conference in 2019 i believe so for 22 they wanted to revamp it um first things first i noticed that its a bit complex the um wheat on the left-hand side feels a bit like clip art and breaking up the text like this you can see theres a lot of space here it just it feels imbalanced and this line is not really adding value to the lockup here so i really wanted to update this make it even better
