Natural light can also look amazing. In general, I think most wedding clients prefer that look. Its hard to beat window light or light during golden hour. Ive tried to use flash power to create that look, but most of the time, it doesnt look as good.
Light creates shadows, highlights, and contrast which can add depth and ambience to your photographs. One of the key things to keep in mind when playing with light in your photographs is the direction of the light. Side lighting can create dramatic shadows, while backlighting can create a soft and ethereal glow.
Letting all of the natural light in will put the magic in your images. It makes the images look more visual pleasing as well as authentic. It also helps all of your photos tie in together because when I shoot the wedding details such as the rings, flowers, stationary, etc, they will have natural lighting as well!
The lights should be at 45 angles from the art and camera. Use the standing lights with the umbrella diffuser attachments for soft, even light. This is an overhead view of optimal lighting setup. Note that the exact angle may be adjusted to accommodate various surfaces and reflectivity in your artwork.
It tells the story of your wedding day Your wedding images help tell the story of your wedding day, from the moment you begin to prepare for the day up to the end of your wedding reception. Having wedding photography allows you to have the entire story of your wedding day documented forever.
The proper wedding lighting not only enhances the look of your venue, it also highlights the important elements of your dcor, like the centerpieces, or makes certain areas of the room focal points, like the dance floor or head table.
Best Aperture for Weddings Again, wide aperture, such as f/1.8 or f/2.8, can help to create a shallow depth of field. This will blurr the background and emphasize the subject. Additionally, the wider aperture youre able to use the better youll be able to balance that with your shutter speed.
