In this episode of Two Minute Tuesdays, Jess Meldrum from Qmetrix discusses conditional formatting in web reports, using a revenue report with a traffic light system. This system highlights accounts that either exceed or do not meet their budget. The report includes columns for actual and budget values, variance, variance percentage, and flags. Traffic lights are created through a custom calculation, mirroring the variance percentage calculation. By accessing the element properties, three conditional rules are applied. For instance, a condition is set to display a red traffic light icon for values less than -0.5, drawing attention to underperforming accounts.
