Well, you can change the metadata of the ePub by using Sigil: press the key "F8" (or go to the "Tool" menu and there select "Metadata Editor". In the dialog that appears you have a field named "Author:"; here is when you can write the correct name as you want.
To change the metadata that's coded into the ebook, you'll have to change it in the file itself, save the file, and then upload it to KDP again. The key to changing your ebook metadata is to use the same system you used to create it in the first place.

If you are using Windows 8 or 10, you can use Microsoft Edge, the older version to open EPUB files. It is a pre-installed browser that comes with your system. Just double-click on the EPUB you want to open or right-click on the files, select open with and click on Edge.
To change the epub metadata, just double click the value in the metadata to edit it. To add additional metadata, click Add metadata. This will open a new window with all possible options. It also allow you to add cover to your book.
