In Windows, once youve created a zip file you can then add more files to it by dragging them onto the zip files icon.To create a zip file in Windows: Select the files you want to add to the zip file. Right-click one of the files.
Click Start, click the Settings button, click Apps, and then click Default apps. Scroll to the bottom and click the link to Choose default apps by file type. Scroll down to .zip and click the program listed in the right column. Click WinZip to select it as your default zip file opener and then close the open window.
For large Zip files, it may be faster to rename a number of files as a batch. Select multiple files and/or folders; then press F2. A dialog will display with a list of the selected files and folders. Next, rename each file or folder by clicking on it and typing in the new name.
You can open and edit files in an archive just as you do files that are not in an archive. You do not need to manually extract the files first. You work on them using the same applications that you usually use.
Extract Multiple Zip Files Step 1 Open WinZip. Step 2 Using WinZips file pane select the file(s) you want to unzip. Step 3 Click Unzip. Step 4 Choose where you want to save the files to.
