In this module, we build on previous discussions about classroom management, focusing on a four-step model called Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) for addressing emotional and behavioral problems. We introduced a framework for classroom behavior management that includes three levels: universal strategies for all students, targeted strategies for those at risk of disruption, and intensive strategies for students already exhibiting disruptive behavior. Effective responses to challenging behaviors require understanding the unique context of each student and situation, rather than relying on predetermined approaches. The FBA model aims to identify the causes of disruptive behavior to guide intervention effectively.
