Include your date of resignation Identify the specific date you intend to be your last day of employment with the company. Although you are writing a 30-day resignation letter, you should still include the exact date that you intend to be your last day of work to avoid miscommunication or confusion.
resignation date is the date of resigning, say if I am giving you an intimation that I would like to leave the organisation and I would be available for handing over etc for one month (that is notice period) then the date on which the resignation is submitted, ie, today, is the date of resignation.
If you want your last day to be the 19th then that is your decision. If they want your last date to be a different date to avoid having to pay you then they can fire you. Since you are leaving the company regardless of what happens I would not worry about it and would definitely not change your resignation date.
