In general, the date that a transaction posts to their account, as opposed to the date the transaction actually took place, will be of little consequence to the average cardholder. One exception, however, is when the cardholder makes their payment to the credit card issuer.
The transaction date is the date when you make a purchase or a cash withdrawal. The posting date is when the transaction is received to your account.
The transaction date represents the time at which ownership officially transfers. In banking, the date a transaction appears in the account is also referred to as the transaction date, although it is not necessarily the date on which the bank clears the transaction and deposits or withdraws funds.
What information must I put on a receipt? If you sell a product or service the receipt you provide to your customer should contain the following: your companys details including name, address, phone number and/or email address. the date of transaction showing date, month and year.
The Transaction Date, also referred to as the Document Date, is the date the transaction was created. The Transaction Date is normally either the original document date (i.e. the original invoice date) or the date the transaction was recorded in the database.
Ans. It is the earliest of the date on which the payment is entered in the books of accounts of the supplier or the date on which the payment is credited to his bank account.
Receipt date refers to the date goods or services were received or contractually due. If multiple dates or billing periods are included on a single invoice, use the latest date.
The value date refers to the date when the transaction took place but the transaction date is the date when the bank posts it in your account. Now for my case my value date was on 9th July 8pm but the transaction date that got reflected in the passbook was 10th July 1pm.
