hi guys it is jackie duran i am going to walk through some of the steps when it comes to working in amy so for those of you who are not familiar amy youre in my phone by the way uh amy is this little pineapple icon when you go to the apple or google play store you can look for sell with amy thats how youll find the app and ive already got it pulled up here im on my i like to call it my default but its the account tab so down here in the lower right hand corner it says account its got the little cog wheel so this is where a lot of everything that youre going to do is going to live so youll see here weve got up at the top weve got business link storefront contact form collections to dos message templates research of contact support along with all of our settings literally everything we need is going to be on the account tab um im gonna have you look at my dashboard just briefly here everything that is done you can kind of see at a glance here so theres really nothing to cl

Log in to the AWS Management Console, display the EC2 page for your region, then click Instances. Choose the instance from which you want to create a custom AMI. Click Actions and click Create Image. Type a name for Image Name that is easily identifiable to you and, optionally, input text for Image Description.
Right Size Using Performance Data Analyze performance data to right size your EC2 instances. Identify idle instances and ones that are underutilized. Key metrics to look for are CPU usage and memory usage. Identify instances with a maximum CPU usage and memory usage of less than 40% over a four-week period.
AWS charges and software charges Infrastructure Pricing Details All AMI-based products incur associated AWS infrastructure charges depending on the services and infrastructure used. These rates and fees are defined and controlled by AWS, and can vary between AWS Regions. For more information, see Amazon EC2 Pricing .
AMI is divided into two categories: EBS - backed Instances. Instance Store - backed Instances.
Open the Amazon EC2 console at . From the navigation bar, select the Region in which to launch your instances. In the navigation pane, choose AMIs. (Optional) Use the filter and search options to scope the list of displayed AMIs to see only the AMIs that match your criteria.
Depending on the size of the volumes, it can take several minutes for the AMI-creation process to complete (sometimes up to 24 hours). You might find it more efficient to create snapshots of your volumes before creating your AMI.
To find a Linux AMI using a Systems Manager parameter (console) From the navigation bar, select the Region in which to launch your instances. From the console dashboard, choose Launch instance. Under Application and OS Images (Amazon Machine Image), choose Browse more AMIs.
You are only charged for the storage of the bits that make up your AMI, there are no charges for creating an AMI. EBS-backed AMIs are made up of snapshots of the EBS volumes that form the AMI.
You can copy an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) within or across AWS Regions. You can copy both Amazon EBS-backed AMIs and instance-store-backed AMIs. You can copy AMIs with encrypted snapshots and also change encryption status during the copy process.
You can select from the list of AMIs when you use the launch instance wizard to launch an instance, or you can search through all available AMIs using the Images page. AMI IDs are unique to each AWS Region.
