Open Special Characters Library Faster Instead, use the Alt + I + C key combo to get to the Insert Special Characters box faster. If you use Google Docs on a Mac, the key combo gets slightly longer Ctrl + Option + I + C.
A. How to type accents in Google docs: On the toolbar at the top of the document, click Insert. Choose Special characters. Change Symbol to Latin. Find the letter with the accent you need, click on it, then OK. It should now be in your document!

Go to Home Replace. Enter the word or phrase you want to replace in Find what. Enter your new text in Replace with. Choose Replace All to change all occurrences of the word or phrase.
Insert special characters On your computer, open Google Docs or Slides. Open or create a document or presentation. At the top, click Insert. Find the character you want to insert: To add a character to your file, click it.
From the Insert tab, click Symbol. Click More Symbols. Select the Special Characters tab. Choose the character you want to insert, and select Insert.
