if someones looking just for a rule of thumb for a licensing royalty percentage is there is there such a thing that thats like an industry standard or does it really vary so much that you cant you cant put a percentage on it yeah its hard to tell but if i did give like a generic range uh it could be from two percent maybe even lower i cant even be from one percent um two even five uh thats like those are good like there are some people that has theyve gotten 14 15 20. um its like its kind of a high percentage but then you kind of have to do the math and even the companies themselves dont really know all right so when when i approach companies im not demanding them for royalty percentage i dont ask them no i dont tell them hey im looking for this much percentage i actually want them to know like or first are you interested and if theyre interested theyre going to do their homework theyre going to contact manufacturers get quotes and theyre going to crunch the numbers
