1. Create a Page Template Manually Step 1: Create a Template File. To get started, open your text editor of choice and add this line of code: Step 2: Upload the Template File to Your Site. Next, youll need to upload this file to your site. Step 3: Customize Your Template File.
To find the Page Attributes settings, take the following steps: Visit your dashboard. Click on Pages from the options on the left. Click on the title of the page to open the editor. In the settings sidebar on the right, locate the Page Attributes section.
The Template Editor allows you to edit and create templates, using blocks. These templates control the layout of the posts, pages, or page types on your site. The Template Editor is only available if your site is using a block theme or a classic theme that has enabled the Template Editor on the backend.
On the right side of the Edit Page page, titled Page Attributes and shown in figure 1, allows you to select a parent page and page template. The parent page is a page you would like this page to be nested under.
Add product attributes in WooCommerce Sign in to WordPress. Click Products from the left-hand menu. Click Attributes in the expanded WooCommerce menu. On the left-half of the screen, youll see an Add new attributes section. Enter a Name for the attribute.
Apply a Template Visit your dashboard. Click on Pages or Posts and select the page/post you want to apply the template to. In the Settings sidebar on the right, locate the Template section. Choose the template you want to apply. Preview how the page or post will look with the template applied.
Adding Custom Fields to WordPress Posts and Pages First, click the three dots in the upper right corner of the post editor, and then click Preferences from the menu that appears. Next, click Panels, and then toggle on the Custom fields selector. Finally, click Show Reload Page to proceed.
In the WordPress editor, you find an option field called Page Attributes with a drop-down menu under Template. Clicking on it will give you a list of available page templates on your WordPress website. Choose the one you desire, save or update your page and you are done.
