hey everybody welcome back to the show this is a live event where were going to discuss uh briefly uh the ideal stock and bond allocation percentages in a portfolio how much what percentage of your Investments should be in stocks what percentage should be in bonds and I get this question a lot and I get it from folks that are just starting out maybe in their 20s and 30s theyve got a long way to go before retirement I get it from this question from folks that are in the middle of their career I get it from folks that are 70 and are retired and so heres what were going to do Im gonna were gonna walk through a really simple framework that regardless of your age you can use as at least a rule of thumb a starting point for figuring out uh maybe a reasonable stock and bond allocation so what were going to do Im gonna were gonna talk about two sort of things we need to understand uh first then Im going to walk through the framework I call it a framework thats just thats just fancy
