The best way to keep your age from showing on the resume is to only use your most recent and relevant work experiences to write the career summary. Our industry experts advise you not to go beyond 1015 years of experience on your resume. Removing past work experiences from your resume is a smart job search move.
The most logical place to include your date of birth on your CV is in the CV header, where your contact details are located. Put your date of birth last, after your contact details. It used to be that a range of personal details would go here, but these days its reserved for contact details, profile links, etc.
The Government of Canada specifies the ISO 8601 format for all-numeric dates ( YYYY - MM - DD ; for example, 2024-04-09).
Be sure to address the letter to a specific person rather than to a general to whom it may concern. Avoid personal details. Do not include personal information such as your age, marital status, religion, etc. Market yourself to the employer.
