so many of our foster youth today are ageing out of foster care with absolutely no support theyre being told that when they age of the foster care system theyre going to be on their own theres no more caseworker theres no more anybody to support them but when you think about it that doesnt make any sense right because when you aged out of your family when you turn 19 or whatever the age of majority it is in your state did you just cut off our relationship with your parents and with your family members of course you didnt you can still come home for christmas and thanksgiving and you always have a family but the foster youth are being told that when they age out of the foster care system they will have no more support so they need to be independent they need to learn all the things that even 19 year olds who are in families dont know so that they can be self-sufficient and they can be independent and they can do all these things on their own and i think thats uh just causing a g
