While its ultimately your decision, its best to always exclude your age from your resume. Doing so prevents hiring managers from discriminating you based on your age.
The most logical place to include your date of birth on your CV is in the CV header, where your contact details are located. Put your date of birth last, after your contact details. It used to be that a range of personal details would go here, but these days its reserved for contact details, profile links, etc.
The primary date arrangement on your resume should be month/year in one of two formats. MM/YYYY (03/2022) Month Year (January 2022 or Jan 2022)
Be sure to address the letter to a specific person rather than to a general to whom it may concern. Avoid personal details. Do not include personal information such as your age, marital status, religion, etc. Market yourself to the employer.
You may include your birth date if you wish. However, it is no longer necessary since the Equality Act of 2010 makes age discrimination illegal in the recruitment process. If youre having issues getting interviews, try removing it from your CV to see if it has a positive impact.
The simplest way to write your date of birth in a CV is the day as a number, the month as a word, and the year. Visually, this is the least confusing layout for dates. Another standard way, often used in the USA, is: October 11, 2020.
Never include your age on a rsum. Its just not considered best practices and opens the door for possible age discrimination both for being young and later in life for being old.
