And so Im going to break down my settings for you guys today Im going to try and keep this as simple and as brief as possible, but I pretty much separate this into three groups, right. Ideally you should ask your celebrant to inform your guests of the no-photos rule at the start of the ceremony. They could say something along the lines of: “Please, turn off your mobile phones and put down your cameras.
For indoor weddings, try to keep ISO between 400-800 to achieve beautiful, grain-free portrait photos. If you go higher than that, you may get more digital noise (though, this depends on your camera, so try a few options).
Stand with your hips rotated 45 degrees away from the camera. Put your weight on your back foot. Elongate your other leg and cross it in front, with the foot pointed toward the camera. Bend the knee a bit so you don't lock up or look stiff.
Three of the most important settings are shutter speed, ISO, and aperture — otherwise known as the exposure triangle, or the three pillars of photography.
For wedding couples portrait photography, you'll need an aperture somewhere between f/1.4 and f/2.8. When you photograph the wedding venue and wide shots the guests, you can consider using a higher aperture value.
Utilizing Shutter Speed In Wedding Photography For ceremonies, we recommend not going under 1/60 seconds to avoid getting a blurry image. For receptions, being that there's a good chance you'll be using lighting, shooting between 1/200th to 1/60th will provide the best images.
