Preparing affidavit statements is a common legal process used in various UK civil and criminal cases.
To swear an affidavit, the deponent holds the Bible and states in the presence of the independent solicitor or commissioner for oaths: I (full name) swear by Almighty God that this is my name and handwriting and that the contents of this my affidavit are true.
By Swearing you do so by Swearing on the bible that the contents of the document are true and accurate as far as you are aware. You will then also sign to confirm this is the case. The Solicitor or Commissioner for Oaths will then sign to say they saw you Swear and sign the document.
The following are six critical sections that must be included: Title. This is either your name (Affidavit of Jane Doe) or the specific case information. Statement of identity. The next paragraph tells the court about yourself. Statement of truth. Statement of facts. Closing statement of truth. Sign and docHub.

Affidavits. An affidavit is a written statement from an individual which is sworn to be true. It is an oath that what the individual is saying is the truth. An affidavit is used along with witness statements to prove the truthfulness of a certain statement in court.
The affidavit can be sworn or affirmed by a solicitor, notary or commissioner for oaths (for a charge) or by an authorised member of court staff. If the affidavit relates to proceedings in the High Court and the affidavit is sworn or affirmed by a court officer, you will need to pay a fee.
Have the appropriate form(s) ready, filled out, but unsigned. Bring photo identification, such as a drivers licence, passport or photo health card. Bring the processing fee, which is $15.00 per signature, and is payable in cash only.
Commissioner for Oaths Pricing is subject to the current statutory rate, namely 5.00 for witnessing an affidavit, declaration or affirmation, and 2.00 for each exhibit to be signed. Where the statutory rate is not applicable, the fixed fee for a Commissioner for Oaths certification is 10.00.
The fixed cost is 30 for EACH EVERY document signed and stamped. Appointment takes 5 minutes. Your document MUST be fully completed by you BEFORE you attend but DO NOT sign it. We do NOT accept debit or credit card for this Service.
