this video is sponsored by page proof [Music] now of course if we have a very long set of tables here we may want to extend this over multiple pages so im just going to select multiple rows here here hold down my option or alt and click and drag and duplicate all these rows and then what id like to do of course if i close this up and i click on my overset text i can then draw another container on this page or on another page and then its just going to flow but what id like to do is id like to have the header show up on every page okay which is pretty easy i can take my type tool select the entire row and i could right click or control click directly on this and i could convert this to a header but im not going to do that yet okay because if i do that then its going to appear on every container if i set that as an option so let me show you a trick here im going to select the first row i havent turned this into a header here its just a standard row of copy it looks like a head

Go to the Insert tab on the main menu and select Header from the Header Footer section. Choose a blank header or use one of the built-in options. In the Header Footer section, check the Different Odd Even Pages option.

On the References Ribbon, in the Captions Group, click the Insert Table of Figures icon (even for lists of tables and equations). In the Table of Figures dialog box, select the label for which you want to make a list from the Caption Label pulldown (such as Equation, Figure, or Table).
The header row will now be automatically repeated whenever the table appears across multiple pages. To turn this off, just click the Repeat Header Rows button again.
