According to the Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 16.6, these contracts entail acquiring services or supplies based on direct labor hours at specified fixed hourly rates, encompassing wages, overhead, administrative expenses, and profit, alongside actual material costs. Time and materials contracts are applicable when precise projections are not feasible.

What are the disadvantages of time and material contract?

Disadvantages of TM Contracts In a TM contract, the amount of engagement required is considerably more than in a fixed-price contract. As there is no set budget, overall expenditures might easily surpass what you expect to pay at the outset.
