Do use: A thick envelope so the document cant be read through the packaging. A hard-backed envelope so the document wont get bent during transit. Plenty of bubble wrap and internal packaging if sending in a box. A waterproof wallet for your shipping label.
Filling Out Customs Forms Online You can print just a customs form or use Click-N-Ship service to pay for postage and print an international shipping label and a customs form.
For any item with USPS Tracking, including items such as Certified Mail and Registered Mail, users are able to view the delivery status in Informed Delivery notifications. Users can also provide USPS Delivery Instructions, manage their notifications, and schedule redelivery from the dashboard.
Emailing sensitive documents is too risky in this age of malware and hackers. Its better to go old-school and mail your sensitive documents using the United States Postal Service.
Certified mail provides the sender proof that the shipment was mailed and when its delivered. On the other hand, registered mail provides the sender package updates from every step of the shipment process. This distinction means you have more security knowing that more eyes and hands are looking out for your parcel.
How to Ship Important Documents Securely Use USPS Registered Mail. USPS Registered Mail service grants additional security to confidential documents and packages. Send Important Documents Via Certified Mail. Priority Mail Express. Priority Mail. First Class Mail.
As part of the security conditions for this mail class, Registered Mail must be sent with proof of mailing which requires a trip to the Post Office (you cannot deposit your package in a collection box). In addition, you must obtain a Registered Mail barcode Label 200 from the post office at the time of mailing.
Certified Mail delivers in the same timeframe as First Class or Priority Mail. Yet, due to the security measures during transport and handling, Registered Mail travels slower the usual. If you need secure, but not fast delivery, use Registered Mail over Certified.
