Most employers prefer email submissions, or will ask you to upload your resume to the companys career portal, but some will also accept hand-delivered resumes.
The best format for sending your resume and cover letter is .pdf or .doc. We suggest saving your documents as PDFs since its a universally accepted file format, its easy to open and will not distort the formatting of your documents. Keep in mind that files should not be larger than 10MB.
Follow these 4 steps: Create a new email message. In the To: field, enter the recipients fax number followed by @efaxsend.com. For example: Attach the file(s) (10 maximum) you would like to send as a fax. To include a cover page, type the text in the body of the email message. Click Send.
If a company requires a paper copy of your resume and cover letter, sending them by fax can be quicker than mailing them. A strong fax cover letter can go before you fax to help your job materials make it to your potential employer safely.
Although your fax message does not require a fax cover sheet, it is important to include one. You need to make sure whoever receives the fax routes it to the intended party, and they know who the sender is. The fax cover sheet template does all of this for you. You can easily create your own fax cover sheet using Word.
Tips for sending your resume to an employer via email Keep it succinct. Introduce yourself, explain why you are writing the email, and outline the documents you have attached. Triple-check your message and documents. Use a professional email address. Send yourself a test message.
