The Restrictions on Shipping to PO Boxes USPS is the only carrier that can ship to PO boxes. Plus, there are limitations when it comes to the size of the parcel that can be delivered. If your package doesnt fit, USPS will hold your package aside. But the hold only applies for ten business days.
Steps to Ship to PO Boxes Start at the center of the envelope. Its essential to write the name and address of the letter or package visibly. Write the recipients first and last name on the first line. Note the company or organization (optional) Provide PO box number. Add city, state, and postal code to the bottom line.
You simply address the letter to a P.O. Box instead of a street address. If the Certified Mail letter requires a signature from the recipient, the mail carrier will leave a delivery slip (PS Form 3849) inside the P.O. Box instructing the recipient to present the delivery slip to the window clerk.
Start writing the delivery address in the center. Put the first and the last name of the recipient on the first address line. If you are addressing a company or organization, put its name right below the recipients name. Next, you need to indicate the PO box number by writing the PO box + 2-5 digit number.
