Permit Imprint This is the most popular (and usually the most convenient) way to pay for higher-volume mailings containing at least 200 pieces or 50 pounds of mail. Instead of using precanceled stamps or a postage meter, you can print postage info in a block on the upper right corner of your mailpiece.
You can print the permit imprint indicia onto a label and apply that to your mailpiece.
Choose how you want to pay for your postage. You can obtain a permit by either applying online through the Business Customer Gateway, if applicable, or completing PS Form 3615, Mailing Permit Application and Customer Profile, available from your local business mail entry unit or Post Office.

There is no cost or fee to establish a Postage Due Account. The Postal Service will automatically deduct the charges for all incoming postage due mail from this account, including, but not limited to,all BRM and Address Change notifications. The deductions to this account are made automatically prior to delivery.
The current price of a USPS bulk mail permit is $245.00 annually.
You must take your mailing to the Post Office where you hold your mailing permit. For most mailers, this will be your local Business Mail Entry Unit, but if youre in a small town you may have to take your mail directly to the retail window.
Print the permit imprint on your mailpiece where a stamp would normally appear. The minimum size of the permit imprint is 1/2 square and not less than 6-point type. Use with automation or non-automation Standard Mail (formerly Bulk Mail). (Minimum of 200 pieces in mailing required).
Methods of Payment Postage may be paid by postage stamps, postage validation imprinter (PVI) labels, postage meter strips, PC postage or other payment methods as described at .usps.com/gxg. Additionally, customers can pay for postage online via credit card.
