Law schools send letters to accept applicants, place applicants on their waitlist, decline applicants, and place applicants on hold. Below, we cover each possible response, what they mean, and the next steps you should take in the admissions process.
Most (but not all) law schools will send an e-mail with a link to an online status checker. This allows you to monitor the progress of your application as it moves from complete to in review, and finally, when a decision has been made. This tool can be a blessing or a curse.

When youre applying to law school you must be aware of your digital footprint. Law schools often look at your social media presence when reviewing applicants candidacy. You dont have a lot to gain, but so much to lose by posting inappropriate things to social media.
Your LSAT score will be posted to the LSAT Status page of your LSAC account. You will receive an email when your score is available. All test takers must have a completed LSAT Writing sample on file in order to see their score or have their score released to law schools.
You can docHub us by calling 215.968. 1001 or emailing LSACinfo@LSAC.org.
Once you get your score back, you can start sending it out to schools. To do this, all you need to do is choose which law schools to send your score to through the Law School Admissions Councils website. There is no limit, really.
They typically prescreen applicants based on their GPA/LSAT combo, and if they like your numbers, they might send you an encouraging e-mail to apply (or even a fee waiver if your numbers are high enough).
