To send a fax message, first, obtain the recipient's dedicated fax number. Place the documents you want to send in the document feed of your fax machine. Enter the recipient's fax number and press the send button. The machine will scan and transmit the documents to the remote fax location. During this process, a series of tones called "handshake" occurs, which indicates communication between fax machines, similar to negotiating sending speeds. After the fax is sent, you will see a display confirming the completion, and optionally, you can set the machine to print a transmission report.
