If youd like packages delivered directly to customer mailboxes or PO boxes, USPS would be the way to go. FedEx and UPS are better options for larger, heavier packages. FedEx specializes in speed over long distances, so if it is urgent, FedEx might be the better option.
The main difference between the United States Postal Service (USPS) and FedEx is that the USPS is a government agency and FedEx is a private courier company. Both provide shipping services and, naturally, directly compete with one another and with other carriers, such as UPS (United Postal Service).
Registered Mail is the most secure way to send a package through the USPS. As part of the security conditions for this mail class, Registered Mail must be sent with proof of mailing which requires a trip to the Post Office (you cannot deposit your package in a collection box).
For example, the USPS and FedEx have a partnership agreement and provide hybrid shipping services, such as FedEx SmartPost and USPS Global Express Guaranteed (GXG).
Most FedEx Ground Economy packages are delivered by FedEx Ground; however, certain destinations (i.e., P.O. Box, U.S. territories, Military Mail) receive United States Postal Service (USPS) delivery.
FedEx, a multinational courier company, specializes in overnight delivery services and excellent parcel tracking. USPS, or the United States Postal Services, is a government agency and primary postal service of the US, being a popular way to ship mail and small packages both domestically and internationally.
Use the prepaid label provided by your merchant and drop off the package at any of our 56,000+ locations. Or use the USPS. Drop it off at one of their locations, or leave it on your porch or in your mailbox to be picked up.
