On February 6, 2006, Chantal Dunne, a 19-year-old from Mississauga, was shot and killed in a parking lot in Toronto. The murder remains unsolved. Investigators believe that Chantal's boyfriend, Shane Morris, was targeted due to his connections with a specific group involved in a dispute with another group. There is a strong indication that individuals with knowledge about the shooters and the motive for the attack exist. Chantal had attended Hazel McCallion Senior Public School and Loyola Catholic High School. On the night of her death, she was driving to pick up Shane Morris at the Northwood Community Centre around 11:00 p.m. as they exited the parking lot.
