Google Docs are set to Private by default. This setting limits access to only people to whom you give permission. If youre working in a Google Apps domain whose docs arent private by default, or if youd like to make a doc private, heres how: Click the blue Share button in the top right of your doc.
Go to drive.google.com. At the top left, click New . Point to the arrow next to File upload. click Encrypt and upload file.
Encryption: Google Drive uses encryption to protect your data both in transit and at rest. During transit, data is encrypted using HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure), which ensures that information is encrypted as it travels between your device and Google servers.
