How to Edit/Create Document Security Settings Go to File Tab Properties or using the shortcut keys Ctrl + D (⌘ + D on Mac). Click on the Security Tab and then click on the Edit button. Choose the desired Document Security Settings. Click OK to set the settings. Save the document to save the new security settings.
How to unlock a PDF to remove password security: Open the PDF in Acrobat. Use the Unlock tool: Choose Tools Protect Encrypt Remove Security.
Right-click on the PDF you want to restrict and select Make Secure PDF. Select the restrictions youd like to apply, including restricting access after a certain date, which can be found in the Expiry Validity tab. By default, editing, copying, and printing are disabled.
