If you need to scan a document but don't have a scanner available, you're in luck if you have an iPhone or iPad. In this tutorial, Jessica from techboomers.com shows how to scan documents and create PDFs using iOS devices. To do this, you'll use two pre-installed apps on iOS: Notes and Files. If you don't have these apps, you can re-download them for free from the App Store. To scan a document on iOS, open the Notes app, select scan documents, place your document on a flat surface, center it in the camera window, and hold your device steady. Continue scanning pages if your document has multiple pages until you're finished.

Android lacks a universal text search function similar to Control + F on a PC. Instead, apps often have a Find on Page or Search feature (look for a menu in the upper left or right corners).
Heres how you can quickly search PDFs on your iPhone. Launch your PDF reader on your iPhone. Open the PDF you want to search. Look toward the upper right on your screen and locate the magnifying glass. Tap the magnifying glass and type in the text you want to search. Navigate through the search results that pop up.
Can you Control F on an iPhone? While there is no way to physically do the Control + F function on an iPhone, since it requires a physical keyboard, you can still search for text within messages, web pages, notes apps, and other apps using different methods.
How to Control-F on an iPhone webpage using the Share button Open a webpage on the Safari or Chrome app. Tap the Share icon. Scroll down, then tap Find on Page (Safari) or Find in Page (Chrome). Type in the word or phrase you want to find in the search bar. When youre finished, tap Done.
Use the Find command to search a PDF. Press Ctrl+F if youre using a Windows computer device, or press Command+F if youre using a Mac computer. Then, you can enter the word or text you want to locate in the Find dialog box, which will allow you to select Next or Previous to move through the search results.
To find scanned documents open the Files app (found on your home screen or in the App Library). Navigate to where your scanned documents are saved, which could be in the iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, or any other connected cloud storage service.
