To jump to highlighted text, do the following: Click Show/Hide Navigation Panel on the top toolbar to show the Navigation panel. In the Navigation Panel, click the Bookmarks tab. Click on the highlight to jump to specific highlighted text.
One of the main reasons why PDFs are not searchable is that they dont include any text. The PDF may be a scanned document or just an image-based document. If thats the case, then there is no searchable text. You can read the text within the image-based document, but the PDF tool cannot.
Restricting your search to only find PDF files is therefore an easy way of finding authoritative information freely available on the web. You can do this using the shortcut filetype: in the Google search box. It is also one of the options in Google advanced search.
When a PDF is opened in the Acrobat Reader (not in a browser), the search window pane may or may not be displayed. To display the search/find window pane, use Ctrl+F.
How To Search for a Word in a PDF Using Any PDF Reader Open any PDF with your default PDF reader. Press CTRL+F (Windows) or CMD+F (Mac). In the text box, enter your search term. The first match will be highlighted. Press Enter or click the right arrow to navigate between the results.
To make a PDF searchable using docHub, you can follow these steps: Open docHub on your computer. Click Open. Find and select the document you want to make searchable, then click Open. Head to Tools and select Recognize Text. Press PDF Output Style Searchable Image. Select OK.
Open the PDF document you want to search and highlight text in. Click on the search bar located at the top right corner of the screen. Type in the keyword or phrase you want to search for. Press Enter or click on the search icon to start the search.
Open your PDF with your default PDF reader. Press the control (Ctrl) button and the F key simultaneously. A text box will pop up type in the keyword or phrase you want to locate in the box. The first matching word or phrase will be highlighted in the PDF.
