[Music] and welcome to x-ray review this will be a quick video about how to save and export dicom images for an image to be considered diagnostic it needs to be in dicom format rather than jpeg in dicom format the image can be manipulated you can zoom in zoom out window level contrast and change a number of the features of the image in order to best visualize what youre trying to see and this cannot be performed with a jpeg and again thats why images need to be saved in this dicom format in order to save your images in dicom format the first thing i recommend is go into your windows desktop right click and create a new folder the second step is to then open up the packs viewing software that contains the images that you want to save next hit the export button and if you dont see that hit the save button and when youre asked to choose a format choose the dicom not jpeg and for a destination pick the folder that you created thats on your desktop now all of the images that you saved

Head to the File menu, then click File info. You can also press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + I on Windows and Command + Option + Shift + I on Mac. From here, you can copy or edit the metadata. Click OK to save your changes.
Select one or more photos in the Grid view of the Library module and choose Metadata Save Metadata To File(s), or press Ctrl+S (Windows) or Command+S (Mac OS). Click the Metadata File Needs To Be Updated icon in a thumbnail in the Grid view of the Library module, and then click Save.
Taking pictures of patients without consent is unacceptable. This includes patient images or other individually identifiable health information that may be in the background of a photo. Similar to HIPAA photo violations, organizations can also be penalized for video violations.
Theres no way to verify the authenticity of a screenshot. Unlike real photographs, screenshots do not have any metadata such as EXIF, nor can they be fingerprinted by the noise in the photo.
To export properly from photos you need to use fileexport or fileexport unmodified original. The first will add keywords and other metadata added in photos. The second wont, but can include them in a separated side car file with the option export IPTC as XMP selected.
One way of preserving metadata when moving files around is to first put them into a container file (like a ZIP file). That way, the ZIPs metadata gets changed but its contents remain untouched.
How to access and view photo metadata Locate and right-click the intended digital image file. Select Properties Click the Details tab at the top of the popup window. Now simply scroll down through the resulting window until you find the metadata section you require.
A JPEG file also has a lot of metadata in each file containing auxiliary information about the image. On an average, this kind of metadata occupies 16% of size of the JPEG file.
