okay for this video i wanted to briefly cover the irs form 8316. this is a statement that is filed along with a form 843. if you are requesting a refund of fica taxes that were incorrectly withheld from your wages so this is the second part uh to the first video i published on the 843 ill put it just a link in the description below but what we were working with was we had a student that was living and working in the u.s while living in the us going to university and then he also had a part-time job in connection with those studies and he was exempt from fica taxes but the employer incorrectly withheld them anyway so in order to get the money back you have to file an 843 request and in connection with this a43 you also need to submit the 8316 if you were unable to get the employer to refund the taxes right so the 8316 its just a couple of questions but its a certification that must be completed and then signed by you as the individual and mailed along with the form 843. so if we sta
